The World in our Hands
Person: Dr Jones
Place: Arctic
Problem: We have spotted two polar bears on individual icebergs. But the icebergs are different sizes. Why is this?
We have received a very important video message from a lady called Dr Jones. She explained to us that she lives and works in the Arctic as a scientist and researcher. Unfortunately, Dr Jones and her very small team are struggling to complete all of their research as there are so many new discoveries to explore. Dr Jones has asked Dosbarth Mesen if they would be willing to fly out to the Arctic to support the ongoing research.
What do we already know and what would we like to learn?
After our video message from Dr Jones, the children put their thinking caps on and wrote down some ideas they have about the Arctic. These ideas included what they already know and what they would like to find out about the Arctic.
