The theme for this term is Ready, Steady Go! That's all about our brilliant bodies and what they can do. So in Dosbarth Y Goedlan we decided to find out about ourselves as part of our mission to make mini robots called MeBots. We had a mysterious video message from a robot who looked a bit familiar! She kept sending us tasks to do to make a class of mini robots just like us!

The first video we received from our robot friend.

We read a great story called No Bot-The Robot With No Bottom, by Sue Hendra.

We wrote our own stories where our robots lost different parts of their bodies. Pen, braich, bol, coes!

No Bot The Robot

We explored our bodies, measuring and comparing size. Made model robots and robot sounds! As well as our MeBots.

We had regular updates with new information to add to our MeBots.

For the second half of the term we compared ourselves to robots. Robots don't have to worry about their well being. You cannot hurt a robot's feelings.

We found out about the 5 Ways to Well-being, 5 Ffordd at Les.

Our well-being topic started with a new story, Not Now Bernard by Davis McKee. Poor Bernard gets eaten by a monster when his parents don't take any notice.

You can listen to the story here.

We took notice of the signs of Spring. Daffodils for Dydd Gwyl Dewi.

We talked about differences between us an the robots. We have feelings. We talked about our feelings and that sometimes they feel a bit of a muddle. Colour Monster helped us sort these out.

We took some time to LEARN a new skill. We learned some Makaton signs to help us CONNECT with others.

We thought of ways to GIVE.

We gave gifts for Mother's Day and 'Did Something Funny for Money' for Comic Relief.

We got ACTIVE in our class gym and outdoors! We even have a dance party for Comic Relief!

We CONNECT with our friends everyday!
